Do not train a child to learn by force or harshness; but direct them to it by what amuses their minds, so that you may be better able to discover with accuracy the peculiar bent of the genius of each.
Plato, Greek philosopher.
My name is Teresa, I am the loving mother of five children and 9 nieces and nephews. I love and cherish my family and friends. The love and compassion I have for young children has inspired me to become an Educator. Those two aspects along with my desire to gain as much knowledge as I can to help children in their educational career, will help me become one of the best Educators. None of this would be possible without my Heavenly Father who has guided me along the way
I have enjoyed viewing your blog and I want to commend you personally because having five children I am sure is not an easy task, and if you are equipped for that than you definitely are equipped to be an educator. I have enjoyed reading your posts and wish you all the success for the future courses.
ReplyDeleteI also want to add that this is a great quote by Plato. My quote was somewhat similar and it seemed as though when it came to kids, many can agree in the area of being able to say " we are not teaching them what to think but rather how to think and use their own minds"
